Really, the difference is you, not us.  There are many good professional general contractors that share our philosophy of openness, great design, service, and high craftsmanship standards.  The vision you have for your home improvement is what is unique. Over our combined 35 years, we have yet to see the same floor plan, with the same client tastes, and the same family needs. Your vision is what drives us to create, to improve, to learn, and to keep perfecting.

Like many good professionals in our field, we do require excellence, demand honesty, offer sustainable building solutions, provide an extended warranty, and uphold all of our professional obligations (Licenses, Permits, Insurance, Professional Standards of Conduct, etc.).  Here are a few items that differentiate us from other professionals:

Family Owned & Operated – We are not a large firm with several employees.  David Putnam, our Owners, will be involved with every project.

Experience - Besides home improvement projects, David has combined to supervise the construction of more than 400 new homes in Colorado.  We have the project management experience to deliver exceptional design, craftsmanship, value and care for all types and sizes of home improvement projects.  From basic bathroom remodels to multi-million dollar luxury custom homes…We’ve been there.

Size & Cost Doesn't Matter – A home improvement by Stone Aspen has nothing to do with the size of your project or the investment you want to make in your home.  If your family shares our values, has a desire for excellence, wants to improve their lifestyle, and your project requires professional supervision, we would like to work with you and your family.

Guaranteed, Not To Exceed Project Investment
For "Every" project we will provide our supervision, labor, and materials for a "Guaranteed", "Not to Exceed" Investment.

Open Books and True Costs (Transparency) -  For projects that require an investment over $25,000 you will see where every penny of your investment is spent. We will open our books so you can review every estimate, purchase order and invoice for your project. Should the actual cost of the project be less than the guaranteed cost, you pay less.

Compensation
We require a minimal down payment and are not fully compensated for our supervision until you are completely satisfied.  Rest assured, we will "earn" our compensation. 

Design / Build – We are here to assist in every step of your project, including design, construction and warranty.  Depending on the scope of your project, we might complete your design work in-house or we might bring in one of our preferred architects/draftspersons or interior designers to assist with the design.  Either way, you can be sure that one of our owners will guide the design and construction to insure your vision is aligned with your family’s investment plan.
